JFVelasquez

Colombian musicologist and violinist. He studied music at EAFIT University, were he studied a BA in music and a MA in musicology. In 2009 obtained a grant from Fundación Carolina to take the course "Cátedra Robert Stevenson para la Preservación y Difusión del Patrimonio Artístico Iberoamericano", in 2011 he received a grant from the Secretary of Culture of Medellin to publish his book "Los ecos de la Villa: La música en los periódicos y Revistas de Medellin (1886-1990)". Actually, thanks to a Fulbright-Mincultura grant, he is a second year student at PhD Musicology program at The University of Pittsburgh.
