YANINA WELP is Regional Director for Latin America at the Centre for Research on Direct Democracy (Zentrum für Demokratie Aarau, University of Zurich). She has completed a PhD in Political and Social Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain) and holds a degree in Political Science and in Social Communication Science, both from the University of Buenos Aires.
