Is Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at the Institute of International Relations, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IRI/PUC-Rio), Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. In the Master Program at the same Institute he developed a research project about the state violence in favelas of Rio and the mobilization of mothers in the struggle for justice after the killing of their sons. During the past few years he has been engaged in a fieldwork following the mothers in order to understand their relation with the state within such a background.
