Associate Professor in Political Science at the Department of Political Science, Sapienza University, Roma. Ph.D. in Comparative and European Politics from the University of Siena, Gianluca has been a postdoc fellow at the Department of Political Science, University of Bologna. He is also a researcher of the Italian National Studies (Itanes). His main research interests concern: presidents of the Republic, political parties, electoral systems, elections and electoral behaviour. His latest book is The Presidentialization of Political Parties (2015).
