Erica Frantz is currently an Assistant Professor in Political Science at Michigan State University. From 2011 to 2015, I was an Assistant Professor in Political Science at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. Prior to this, I worked as an analyst at IPS. I received my PhD from UCLA's Political Science Department in 2008.
I study authoritarian politics, with a focus on democratization, conflict, and development. I am also interested in the security and policy implications of autocratic rule.
