Dr. Caroline Shenaz Hossein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Science at York University. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Gender (University of Toronto), an MPA (Cornell), a LL.B (University of Kent at Canterbury), and a BA (Saint Mary's University). Dr. Hossein examines the disbursement of financial resources to marginalized communities. Previously, she was a U.S Fulbright Fellow at the University of the West Indies-Mona. In addition to her academic work, she has a decade of experience as a development practitioner in global non-profits, including managing a community bank in Niger.
