As Latino people comprise an increasing proportion of the United States population, it is more and more pressing that non-Latino people understand who these people are, where they come from, and what role they play in our modern society. Latinos make up the largest minority group in the U.S. at around 58 million people, or 18% of the country’s population.

Panoramas Round Table Discusses Latino Immigration to Pittsburgh

For the first Panoramas Round Table of the 2014-2015 school year, the Center for Latin American Studies brought in a group of panelists to discuss immigration issues. The four panelists, Kimi Bennett, Alfonso Barquera, Megan Walker, and Joanna Bernstein, all work with immigrants from Latin America in Pittsburgh and discussed their experiences and knowledge of the issue with the audience.
